Fishing @ Thrunton

Fishing @ Thrunton

During activities' week, 12 pupils from across the year groups were fortunate enough to attend a fishing trip to Thrunton. Whilst there, the pupils learnt how to tie a fly, how to cast and were shown the entomology of a fish. Students fished on the top lake and were hoping to catch rainbow trout. They did have one or two nibbles, but due to the unusual weather conditions, fishing was very difficult and even the experienced anglers failed to catch anything!

Thanks must go to Chris and Jill Blythe for their kind hospitality and Stevie for his patient teaching skills.
