Mount Cook Day 3

26th June 2019
Mount Cook Day 3: No rain today - Hurray! So proud of everyone. We really knuckled down with the activities and all of the pupils pushed themselves to go beyond what they expected to achieve. The children took part in Tag Archery, Archery, Jacob's Ladder, Sensory Trail, Gladiator Wall and this evening we had a night walk around the old quarry and mines of Mount Cook. Special mention has to go to Ben and Lily-Mae who both made it up the Galdiator Wall in 27 secs, with Lily-Mae's hand just touching the top 0.01 secs before Ben. Both are incredible climbers! Moreover, if awards were to go to effort, Chloe and Grace consistently went to the edge of their comfort zones in every task and climbed to the top of the Gladiator Wall, even though they never thought they would be able to...Such grit and determination. Zac showed a natural flair for Archery and Henry was a very strong and considerate leader in the sensory trail. We could go on... It's so good to see every child flourish in their own individual way, displaying talents we don't always have the opportunity to see in the classroom.

They are are all very tired tonight and lights went out 15 minutes early!
