Year 7 Catch-up Funding

Year 7 Catch Up Premium

The Literay & Numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not reach age expected outcomes in reading and/or maths at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).

Here at Glendale, we are committed to ensuring pupils make a smooth transition from KS2 to KS3 and strive to make certain that pupils are 'secondary ready' both academically and socially. We use this funding to provide strategies and interventions which are specifically  aimed at pupils who need extra support in order to catch up with their peers.

Pupils and Catch-up Premium 2017-18:
  • 3 pupils out of 21 qualified for Year 7 Catch-up Premium.
  • Total amount of Catch-up Premium = £1210
How Catch-up Premium is used:

The funding is used to allow for smaller group teaching with a qualified teacher and/or additional in class support/intervention with a teaching assistant.
